Creating the first round of props for “Little Dog”…
…I never thought I’d enjoy looking at dog toys in this much detail!
Brawni 3D
After re-visiting the opening storyboard for “Little Dog”, I decided to take the first 3D prop-making plunge and start modelling my props for Gabby to hurdle over in the very first scene. So, I opened up Blender and PureRef and started creating…
All of these props are based off of a reference, many of them I had to make my own patterns or labels for in Adobe Illustrator before applying as my Blender materials or displacement alphas.
I had a whole heap of fun creating translucent rubber textures and the fuzz on the fancy dog collars and tennis balls.
These objects you will be able to find in all the environments of the opening scene so keep your eyes peeled when the movie comes out!
All works shown here were designed, modelled, textured and rendered in Blender, Illustrator and Photoshop by Sarah Brawn. The models were inspired by real life products.
